DR ARNOLD CHAIR
Non-invasive pelvic-floor muscle stimulation using high-intensity electromagnetic pulses.
What is the DR ARNOLD Chair?
The DR ARNOLD Chair is a non-invasive medical device that uses high-intensity electromagnetic stimulation to produce repeated pelvic-floor muscle contractions while the patient remains seated and fully clothed.
When may it be considered?
Following medical assessment, the device may form part of a plan for pelvic-floor weakness and selected bladder-control concerns in women or men. It is not suitable for every cause of symptoms and does not replace necessary diagnostic investigation.
During and after a session
A session usually lasts about 30 minutes and does not require anaesthesia or planned downtime. Strong muscle contractions are expected. Progress varies, and an individual course may be recommended.
Private medical assessment
Symptoms, medical history, implanted devices and other contraindications are reviewed confidentially before treatment. Referral to a relevant specialist may be recommended when appropriate.
