What is fractional CO₂ laser?
Fractional CO₂ laser delivers controlled columns of energy into the skin while leaving surrounding tissue untreated. In suitable patients it may be used to support resurfacing and collagen remodelling for selected scars, fine lines, visible pores and uneven texture.
A personalised medical protocol
Depth and intensity are chosen according to skin type, indication, medical history and available recovery time. Darker skin types or a history of pigmentation require particular caution.
Recovery and results
Redness, swelling, crusting, dryness and temporary pigment changes may occur. Recovery varies with intensity. Improvement develops during healing and collagen remodelling, and sun protection is essential.
Assessment before treatment
The doctor will discuss preparation, antiviral treatment where indicated, aftercare, risks and alternatives. The procedure may be postponed or replaced if the risk profile is not appropriate.
